1931, continues in service. It travelled 9,182 miles and
23,959 passengers were carried up to the beginning of September.
At the outbreak of war the schools were closed and the
conveyance was not again in use until the middle of December,
when it was loaned to the A.R.P. casualty services for the
conveyance of personnel.
The following is a statement of the work done by the
Borough Ambulance under the Fire Brigade up to 3rd September,
1939, and under the A.R.P. Medical Officer for the remainder
of the year:—

NURSING FACILITIES.
BOROUGH OF HORNSEY NURSING ASSOCIATION.
In view of the increasing amount of work being undertaken
bv the Nursing Association, necessitating the employment of
extra staff and provision of additional accommodation, the
Council decided in March to increase their annual subscription
to the Association's funds from £l00 to £l50 per annum.
