Aural Clinic.
Dr. Friel reports on the Special Aural Clinic:—
"The Session for the Ear Clinic is on Saturday morning, when
the patients are examined and treated. In addition to this,
treatment is given by the nurses during the week for catarrh
of the nose, which is a fruitful cause of defective hearing. As
It would be difficult for many of the children to attend at this
Clinic during the week the treatments called Diostalisation and
Politzerlsation are given at other centres also—Coldfall School,
where Miss Ross is in charge; Brook Road, with Miss Anscombe:
Wightman Road, with Miss Glover, and Hlghgate, with Miss
Maopherson. At the Central Clinic Miss Oliver carries out the
treatments.
"The majority of the patients attending during recent years
were suffering from chronic middle ear catarrh, nasal catarrh and
nasal obstruction."

The following table indicates the nature of the causes and the results obtained in those suffering from chronic ortorrhœa:—
