The following houses and flats, etc., have been built during
1933: —

HORNSEY HOUSING TRUST, LTD.
The Hornsey Housing Trust, Ltd., was formed in 1933 to
assist in the provision of better housing at cheaper rents for
certain classes of families.
The Council, being in sympathy with the objects of the
Trust, have decided, in pursuance of Section 70 of the Housing
Act, 1925, to make advances on the security of the Society's
properties up to 85 per cent. of the value of the properties on
the following terms:—
(1) Interest at £3 12s. 6d. per cent.
(2) Term not exceeding 30 years.
(3) No charges other than out-of-pocket expenses to
be made by the Council.
(4) Purchase price to be approved by the Council.
(5) Expenditure on alterations or reconditioning not
to exceed the amount required to meet the
minimum requirements of the Council's
byelaws.
The Trust held its first Annual General Meeting on
March 27th, 1934, at which the Chairman, Councillor Mrs.
