SHOPS ACTS.
Six hundred and seventy-eight visits have been paid to shops
during the year, and, apart from a number of minor infringements,
which were dealt with, the provisions of the Shops Acts,
1912-1928, have, generally speaking, been well observed.
Letters have been sent in six instances where contraventions
have occurred after verbal notices, and undertakings obtained
that recurrences will not take place.
