Isolation Hospital.—As compared with the previous year
there were 141 more patients admitted in 1910, viz.:—537 In
1919 and 396 in 1918.

Scarlet Fever.—The number of cases notified in Hornsey
during 1919 was 203, and of these 134 (equal to 66 per cent. of
the cases notified) were admitted to the Isolation Hospital.
There were also 73 cases of Scarlet Fever admitted from
Finchley and 107 from Wood Green.
The: e was one death in the Hospital from Scarlet Fever
during the year, giving a case mortality of 0.32 per cent, of the
314 cases admitted to the Isolation Hospital.
Diphtheria.- There were 87 cases of Diphtheria notified in
the Borough during the year, and of these 59 cases (equal to 68
per cent. of those notified) were admitted to the Isolation
Hospital.
There were also 56 cases of Diphtheria admitted from Finchley,
79 from Wood Green, and 2 from Hendon.
There were 15 deaths in the Hospital during the year from
Diphtheria, giving a case mortality of 7'6 per cent. of the 196
cases of Diphtheria admitted.
Enterie Fever.—There were 6 cases of this disease notified
in tile Borough during the year, and of these 1 (equal to 17 per
cent, of the cases notified) was admitted to the Isolation
Hospital.
There was also 1 case of Enteric Fever admitted from
Wood Green.
