Illegitimate Births.—There were 54 illegitimate births
recorded in 1914, and 42 in 1913, an increase of 12.
The proportion of illegitimate births of the total registered
births is 3.5 per cent., an increase of 0 6 over last year.
Eleven of the illegitimate births occurred in the New Edmonton
Infirmary and 17 in other Institutions and places outside the
Borough.
