The number of outside cases of Diphtheria was for each year :
1899 1 case from outside the Hornsey Borough (or Urban District)
1900 8 cases do.
1901 2 „ do.
1902 15 „ do.
1903 36 „ do.
1904 36 „ do.
1905 32 „ do.
During 1905, out of 153 cases of Diphtheria notified in Hornsey,
95 (or 62 per cent.) were admitted to Hospital.
Practically all the patients were treated with antitoxin.
Enteric Fever.—Fifteen cases of Enteric Fever were removed
to the Hospital during the year, 7 being from Hornsey (out
of 20 cases notified), 5 from Finchley, and 3 from Wood Green.
Of the fifteen cases, 1 proved fatal (a Wood Green case), giving
a case mortality of 6.6 per cent.
