CORRECTED BIRTHS AND BIRTH-RATES.
The British Lying-in Hospital, Endell Street, was removed from the Borough
about the 1st May, 1913. The number of births in the Borough this year was,
therefore, much less, and the number of those whose mothers were non-resident
in the Borough is also much less, viz., 157. I received from the Registrar-General
information of the births of 63 legitimate infants and 23 illegitimate infants
whose mothers were resident in the Borough, but which took place in outlying
institutions in London.
