APPENDICITIS.
There was a decrease in the number of deaths from this disease during the
year, for, whereas they numbered 24 in 1913, and averaged 23 in the preceding
decennium, it was now only responsible for 19 deaths. The return is not,
however, the lowest, for in 1912 there were only 13 deaths registered, while ;n
1907 the number was the same as now recorded.
