This statement indicates that there was a decrease of 190 deaths at the
age period 0—5 years, of 4 at 25—35, and of 3 of persons who were 85 and
upwards. At each of the other age periods there was an increased return, which,
in one case alone, namely, that between 45 and 55, was as much as 73. It is
not satisfactory to note that at all ages over 35, except that of very old age,
the numbers showed an increase.
A statement has been prepared, and is given below, which indicates the
number of deaths during the year from each of the classified causes of disease
as well as the average number from those causes during the preceding 10 years,
and also those for the year 1913.
It also shows the difference from the average of the preceding decennial period.
