In addition to this number of baths, 26 were given at the beginning of the
year to children who had commenced their sets in the previous year, thus
making a total of 2,522 baths for the year.
Ninety-two baths were given to children residing in other boroughs, but
attending schools in Islington, as under.—

The average daily attendance of children at the baths throughout the year
was 12, raging from 2 to 30 per day.
In many instances children were found in such a verminous condition as
to require at least two, sometimes four, and even five sets of baths, which ranged
from two to as many as 16 separate baths. Indeed, 463 sets of baths were
given to 192 children.
Deducting these 463 sets of baths from the total number of sets given
(1,043), it is seen that 580 children were given one set of baths only, and if to
these are added the 192 children mentioned above, we get the actual total of
772 children dealt with.
At the outset of this work it was estimated, on information supplied by the
London County Council, that there were 3,600 school children who were to be
found in a more or less verminous condition during the year, but only 50
per cent, of this number, viz., 1,800, was taken as a basis for undertaking the
work of cleansing. This number was, however, never reached or nearly so.

Below is given a Table comparing the estimated figures with the actual figures:—
