The Council's resolution, as recorded in the minutes, reads:— "As regards Messrs.
Lyons' restaurants and premises similar in character, arrangements be made for the removal
of house refuse as frequently as is deemed necessary to prevent nuisances arising from its
non-removal."

Sir,
I beg to submit to you the following report of my work during the year 1911. The
following inspections and visits have been made during that period :—
Inspections of Factories 238
Inspections of Workshops 1,072
Inspections of Workplaces 35
Miscellaneous re-inspections and visits 2,505
Total 3,850
Factories.— There were on the register at the end of the year 191 factories, 17
having been added during that period and 19 removed.
