SHELTER HOUSE.
During the year the Shelter House was not used by persons in whose
homes an infectious disease had occurred. Disinfection of their rooms is now
so speedily accomplished that they prefer to make some shift at home rather
than undergo the inconvenience of even a short stay in it.
Certain verminous persons, denizens of lodging-houses and others, 23 in
number, were, however, given baths there.
Midwives.—Seven midwives used the baths after attendance on cases of
Puerperal Fever.
