here was a decrease of 284 on its decennial average. The cases of this disease
formed nearly 64 per cent, of the notifiable infectious diseases attacking
scholars. Diphtheria was discovered to have attacked 197 children attending
school, or 34 per cent, of the total number of scholars stricken with an
infectious disease. The cases were 45 below the decennial average, and 87
below the number known in 1909.
Enteric Fever attacked 13 scholars, or 25 below the decennial average.
These 13 cases represented 2.2 per cent, of the scholars afflicted by this
disease. It is very satisfactory to find that all the diseases when contrasted
with the decennial average attacked 370 fewer scholars.
