PUERPERAL FEVER.
Twenty cases of this disease were notified, or one less than the corrected
average of the preceding 10 years. The cases ane, however, six above the
return of the preceding year, when the smallest number hitherto known was
entered in the records.
Hospital Isolation.—Ten out of the 20 cases were nursed in hospital,
or 50 per cent.
Fatality. — As many as 8 deaths occurred, so that the fatality was 40 per
cent.
