3,368 intimations of nuisances, &c., and 233 statutory notices
(including 7 for smoke nuisances) were issued; 2,240 letters were
written, and 1,548 interviews took place at the Office.

Police court proceedings for failure to comply with Statutory notices were taken with the following results:—
