In six instances tuberculous wives had husbands also affected ; in one
case the woman's first husband also was phthisical.
In 33 instances patients had consumptive brothers or sisters.
In 32 instances there had been opportunities of infection from
relatives.
Of the 507 cases of Pulmonary Tuberculosis visited by the Health
Society during the year, 209 were married. The children in these
families number 646, of whom 434 are reported healthy and 212
delicate.
In 8 instances, there had been old standing tuberculosis affections of
other parts of the body before the lungs became affected.
