The premises at 16, Strutton Ground have been reconstructed.
The total common lodging-house accommodation available is now 2,162
beds for men, 75 for women.
Deaths.—91 deaths occurred in 1910 among inmates of the common
lodging-houses and shelters in the City (87 males and 4 females).
28 of the deaths were due to phthisis, 19 to respiratory diseases,
19 to diseases of the heart and bloodvessels, 8 to cancer, and 6 to
kidney disease. There were 36 deaths in St. John's Ward, 1 in Regent,
8 in Covent Garden, and 46 in Strand.

were licensed, and the number of deaths which occurred during the
last three years among persons alleged to have been inmates:—

In addition, 3 deaths were recorded among former inmates of the
following premises, the use of which as common lodging-houses has
now been given up:—107, Wardour Street, 10, Stanhope Street, and
11, Monck Street.
Revenue Act.
Certificates under this Act relieve the recipient from the payment
of Inhabited House Duty. Applications were received by me in 12
instances comprising 46 tenements. Certiiicates were granted in respect
of all of the tenements. The premises in which are situated the
tenements for which certificates were granted are:—
