owners. In all 1,991 articles were passed through the disinfecting
apparatus on account of their verminous condition, and a number were
destroyed; these articles were removed from 36 houses.
Mortuaries.
The number of bodies removed to the Council's mortuaries under
order of the Coroner, or to await burial, was 333; in 5 instances
death was the result of infectious disease.
Two hundred and eighty-one inquests were held at Horseferry Eoad
where the Coroner's Court is situated; G adjourned inquests were held.
Post-mortem examinations were made in 141 instances at Horseferry
Eoad. The number of fatal accidents due to vehicular traffic continues
to increase; in 1910, 45 inquests resulted therefrom.

Horseferry Eoad, 4 to Dufour's Place, 7 to Drury Lane, and 0 to
Ebury Bridge resting places.
