Non-notifiable Diseases.
Diarrhœal Diseases.—In London, deaths from the epidemic or
acute form of this disease were half the corrected average, giving a rate
of 0.28 per 1,000. In Westminster the number of deaths was less than
any previous year. Meteorological conditions again played an important
part in keeping down the rate during the autumn months. The figures
for several years are shown below.
Deaths from other forms of enteritis numbered 32, which is above
the average; 21 were of infants. Probably this form was due to cold,
improper feeding, defective powers of digestion, and in some instances
this condition may have resulted from a previous attack of the epidemic
form.
The following table exhibits the particulars:—

Measles.—Twenty-two deaths were attributed to this cause in 1910
in the City.
During the year 567 cases came to my knowledge, 555 having
been notified by school teachers (particulars as to schools affected are
given later).

London, occurred in children under five years of age, it affords a better
