Mr. Mayor, My Lord, and Gentlemen,
I beg to present my Report for the four weeks ending 31st October, 1903:—
1. Births.—The number of Births registered was 221, equal to an annual rate of 16.1 per

68 non-citizens in public institutions in the City and adding those of 58 citizens who died
in other districts, the corrected total is 158, as compared with 198 in the previous five
weeks, and is equivalent to an annual death-rate of 11.4 per 1,000. The death-rate for
all London during the same period averaged 15 2 per 1,000, being 1.7 per 1,000 below the
mean rate in the corresponding periods of the 10 years 1893-1902.
