House to house inspections were carried out in the following
localities:—
Runham street, St. Gabriel street, Gurney street, Horsman street,
Deacon street, Goschen street, Blewett street, Hayles street, Elsted street,
Empress street, Dorset street, Halpin place, Tatum street, Kingston street,
Brandon street, Keyworth street, Beckway street. East street, Barbel
street. Burman street, Larissa street, Huntsman street, Chatham street,
Rodney road. Barlow street, Nebraska street, Causeway place, Linwood
place, Innis place.
From April 8th to November 27th, 445 inspections and 1,312 revisits
were made of the various houses by Miss Chappie.
413 intimation and 252 statutory notices were served. 334 sanitary
works were carried out.
The following Nuisances have been abated:—

Closet Apparatus reinstated 15
Yards paved or paving amended 34
Sinks trapped 4
Roofs repaired 57
New Dustbins provided 33
Foul Rooms cleansed 944
Cases of overcrowding abated 3
Miscellaneous nuisances (other than those above
