Defects.— The w.c. accommodation is in a small and confined yard at the back of the premises, the closets (four in number) are used in combination with No. 4, Empress street. The closets are in a dirty and dilapidated condition, the rooms of the house are in a dirty and dilapidated condition, the walls and ceilings of the rooms are dirty and broken, the back rooms are ill-lighted, the staircase, walls and ceilings, are dirty and broken, the doors, door frames and window frames are broken, the yard is dirty, the house roof is defective.

Defects.—The structure of the house is worn out, the front wall is cracked, there is no evidence of a damp course, the woodwork of the house is broken and defective, the roof is in a bad condition, letting the rain in. The stairs are narrow, winding and dilapidated, the yard is very small, there is evidence of damnness in the walls throughout the house.

Defeots.- The structure of the house is worn out, the front wall is bulged, there is no evidence of a damp course, the w.c., which is very small, is in the middle of the house, there is no back yard, the stairs are narrow and winding, the rooms are very small.
