Number of days under treatment 173. Gain in weight 10 lbs.
Condition of disease on discharge—Improved.
Prognosis —Poor.
Case 12.—C. B., Stoker, Married, Aged 48 years.
No family history of Phthisis. Illness began 2 years ago with an
attack of Rheumatism. Has not had any Institution treatment.
Is now at work after 8 weeks of rest and private
treatment at home. Had blood-spitting 9 weeks ago, and
since then has thinned. Slight expectoration, but little cough.
Sputum examined and found negative for Bacilli.
Pulse 76. Morning temperature 97.1°F. Evening 98°F.
Weight 8 stone 13 lbs.
Slight dullness over right lung.
Admitted to Benenden February 27th, 1911. Discharged May
22nd, 1911.
Number of days under treatment 84.
Condition of disease on discharge—Arrested.
Prognosis—Good.
