SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
During the year ending 1st January, 1910, 1,656 samples were
taken by the Inspectors.*
The following Table shews the localities in which these samples were
taken:—

95 of these samples were certified as adulterated, a percentage
of 5.7. Compared with the percentage of adulteration for the previous
year a decrease of 1.4 is shewn.
Particulars of the samples taken together with the results of the
analyses are given in table 73.
*Mr. Howes, inspector for Trinity Ward, carried out his duties as Assistant
Inspector under the Food and Drugs Acts, at different periods, amounting to eighteen
week days and three Sundays, during 1909.
