PROVISIONS AS TO WATER SUPPLY, &c.
During the year 1902 certificates were issued under Section 48 in
respect to the undermentioned new premises:—
4 to 10, Hillingdon Street.
Martagon Buildings.
13 to 30, Anchor Buildings.
Hayles Buildings (extension).
18 to 30, New Street.
19a, West Square.
67 to 75, De Laune Street.
37 and 38, Rephidim Street.
27, 28 and 29, Rephidim Street.
SMOKE NUISANCES.
During the year 1902 observations were made on 274 days by
the Ward Inspectors of the various factories, &c., in the Borough.
63 complaints have been received at the Office, from persons other
than the Council's Inspectors.
26 intimations and 12 statutory notices have been served. Police
court proceedings were taken in one instance, when the defendant was
fined 20/- and 5/- costs.
