Diphtheria.
Four cases of diphtheria, two of which were not confirmed, were
notified during 1950.
There were no fatal cases.
In 1949 seven cases were notified, diagnosis being confirmed only
in respect of five cases.
Cancer.
During 1950 the number of deaths certified as being due to Cancer
was 160 (91 male and 69 female) as compared with 162 (94 male and 68
female) in 1949.
Tuberculosis.
During the year 82 cases of tuberculosis (74 respiratory, 8 nonrespiratory)
were notified under the Regulations.
Details of the age and sex incidence of these cases are given in the
following table.
