Station during the year are shown in the following table:—

Disinfection and Verminous Premises.
(a) Disinfection.
The following is a summary of the work carried out during the
year:—

(b) Verminous Premises.
During the course of inspection 13 premises were found to be
verminous. In all instances appropriate action was taken.
Rodent Control.
The Council's Rodent Control Scheme has continued and particulars
of the work carried out during the year, in accordance with the methods
approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, are given below:—
(a) Dwelling Houses.
601 complaints of rats or mice relating to 501 premises were
investigated and 1,904 treatments were applied.
4 complaints relating to 7 premises were outstanding and
receiving treatment at the end of the year.
656 inspections and revisits and 3,005 visits to apply treatments
were made by the Rodent Staff.
