Condensed Milks.
Twenty-eight samples of condensed milk were examined, all of which
were satisfactory.
Preservatives.
There were 15 contraventions of the Preservatives Regulations.
These consisted of:—
Twelve milks—containing formalin.
Meat containing sulphur dioxide.
Sausage
Lemon Squash—containing benzoic acid.
Other samples examined during the year were:—
For the Public Health Department:—
1 Water.
1 Milk.
1 Rag Flock.
1 Vinegar.
2 Canned Fish.
For the Borough Engineer's Department:—
1 Fabric.
2 Paints.

During the year 20 notifications were received.

Investigations into the 20 notified cases resulted in them being classified as follows:—
