Altered Diagnosis Cases.
120 patients who had been notified as suffering from infectious disease
were later certified to be suffering from some condition other than that
which was notified:—
46 Scarlet Fever; 57 Diphtheria; 1 Puerperal Pyrexia, altered
to Puerperal Sepsis, and 4 Pueiperal Fever altered to
Puerperal Pyrexia; 1 Smallpox; 10 Chickenpox.
The final diagnosis in the 46 Scarlet Fever cases was:—

In addition, there were 18 cases reported as Bacteriological Diphtheria.
These have been included as cases of Diphtheria.
