Of the samples of milk, 42 were procured from itinerant vendors
on Sundays and 198 from itinerant vendors on weekdays. Seven samples
were adulterated and a letter of caution was sent to 1 vendor and legal
proceedings taken against 6 other vendors.
Samples of milk were taken on delivery as follows:—Poplar
Institution, 1; Poplar Hospital, 2; St. Andrew's Hospital, 1; Bromley
House Institution, 1. All these samples were genuine.
Thirty-one samples of milk were taken on delivery at Railway
Stations (all Grade "A" (Tuberculin-tested) milk).
