The following section on Housing has been prepared in accordance
vith Circular 1,119 (England) of the Ministry of Health, 1930:—
(a) STATISTICS,

(b) For the purpose of Part III of the Act of 1925 116

1.—Inspection of Dwelling-houses during the year. No. of No. of

sub-head (1) above) which were inspected
and recorded under the Housing (Consolidated)

dangerous or injurious to health as to be unfit for human
habitation Nil.*
(4) Number of dwelling-houses (exclusive of those referred
to under the preceding sub-heading) found not to be in
all respects reasonably fit for human habitation 4,407
*Owing to the shortage of accommodation for rehousing,
little or no action has been taken in the condemnation of unfit
individual houses, but since the coming into operation of the
Housing Act, 1930, many unfit houses have been inspected with
a view to dealing with them under that Act.
