MATERNITY AND CHILD WELFARE.
The Maternity and Child Welfare work is divided between the
Borough Council and the Royal College of St. Katharine, the Borough
Council taking the areas north of Bow Road and south of East India
Dock Road; the Royal College of St. Katharine being responsible for
the intermediate area, except for a small area in the vicinity of the
Maternity and Child Welfare Centre in Wellington Road.

Child Welfare Centres in the Borough, together with the days and hours
of clinics and the accommodation available at each centre.
During the year the number of Ante-Natal Clinics was increased by
2 per month—making a total of 10 per month.
To cope with the work at the Dental Clinic, 2 additional sessions per
month were started in February, 1929, one of the sessions being an
anaesthetic session.
There have been no further increases to the Clinics held during the year.
