BAKEHOUSES.
Inspections.
The Bakehouses throughout the Borough were inspected at least
twice during the year.
There are 92 Bakehouses in the Borough of Poplar, 29 Poplar
(including 6 factory bakehouses), 40 Bromley (including 16 factory
bakehouses), 23 Bow (including 7 factory bakehouses). See Tabie
A, page 72, number made up to end of year.
There are 26 underground bakehouses in the Borough, 6 Poplar,
10 Bromley, and 10 Bow.
Cleansing was necessary in the various bakehouses on 177 occasions.
Four other nuisances were found.
Eight bakehouses were disused at time of visit.
