BAKEHOUSES.
Inspections.
The Bakehouses throughout the Borough were inspected at least
twice during the year.
There are 92 Bakehouses in the Borough of Poplar, 28 Poplar
(including 7 factory bakehouses), 41 Bromley (including 11 factory
bakehouses), 23 Bow (including 6 factory bakehouses). See Table
A, page 72, number made up to end of year.
There are 28 underground bakehouses in the Borough, 4 Poplar,
14 Bromley, and 10 Bow.
Cleansing was necessary in the various bakehouses on 144 occasions.
Eighteen other nuisances were found.
Four bakehouses were disused at time of visit.
