On 29th May and the 28th July two summonses were respectively
heard in the case of samples of milk adulterated with 10 per
cent. and 60 per cent. of water. The summonses were dismissed as
it was held the milk supplied was drawn direct from the cow. The
animal was to blame.
In three instances applications were made to the Court for the
third samples produced to be sent to Somerset House for an
independent analysis. The samples in dispute were:—
(1) March 27th, deficient in cream, 26 per cent.
(2) March 27th, deficient in cream, 21 per cent.
(3) April 10th, deficient in cream, 20 per cent., and
terated with 2 per cent. of added water.
