As is usual it will be seen that the typhoid fever cases occurred for the most part during the latter half of the year.

DIPHTHERIA (INCLUDING MEMBRANOUS CROUP).
161 cases of diphtheria and 5 cases of membranous croup were
notified in Poplar, 228 cases of diphtheria and 3 cases of membranous
croup were notified in Bromley, and 69 oases of diphtheria and 1
case of membranous croup were notified in Bow, making a total of
458 cases of diphtheria and 9 cases of membranous croup for the
whole Borough.
