The fines imposed during the year amounted to £101 17s. and the costs awarded to
£37 6s. 6d. Those sums are paid to the Council's account except fines imposed under
Notifications of Births Act, which are claimed by the Police. One defendant served three
months imprisonment in default of paving fines and costs amounting to £45 4s.
