SECTION E—INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD
Milk and Dairies Regulations, 1949
At the end of the year there were 112 persons registered for the
distribution of milk from premises within the borough and 22 registrations
for the distribution of milk within the borough from premises in
the area of another authority.
5 premises in the borough were registered as dairies.
Milk (Special Designations) Licences
Licences, which remain in operation from January 1 to December
31, were issued during the year as follows:—

Analysis of milk
During the year under review, 199 samples of milk were submitted
for examination to the Public Analyst by the Council's inspectors.
6 of these samples were certified as adulterated or below standard.
