Food warnings
In addition to legal proceedings authorised for contravention of
the Food and Drugs Act, 1938, etc., and Milk and Dairies Regulations,
1949, warning letters were sent in respect of the following matters,
where the evidence was not sufficient to warrant legal proceedings
being instituted:—
Adhesive tape in bread.
String in bread.
Milk contained in dirty bottle.
Cockroach in bread (2 cases).
Beetle in bread.
Foreign matter in bread.
Sausages containing preservative (notice not displayed as
required by Public Health (Preservatives) in Food
Regulations.
Cigarette end and tobacco in bun.
