The 42 labours that ended abnormally are classified as follows:—
The number of ante-natal cases sent by the Midwives to the
Central Clinic during the year was 121, as compared with 97 in
1933, and the number of pregnant women who attended on their
own initiative was 93 as compared with 37 in 1933. These figures
are encouraging as they show that not only the midwives but also
the mothers themselves are making increasing use of the service
provided.
