Factories and Workshops.
Details of the administration of the Factory and Workshop Act,
1901, are included in this report in accordance with the requirements
of the Ministry of Health.
The total number of factories and workshops on the register
was 810, and during the year 2,348 inspections were made of these
premises. The number of sanitary defects found was 73, all of which
were remedied.
