MARRIAGES.
The number of Marriages in the Borough during the year
was 1,070, compared with 1,101 in 1912, and 1,061 in 1911. Of
this number, 619 were solemnized at the Established Church,
121 at Nonconformist Places of Worship, and 330 at the
Register Office.

The total number of Deaths registered in the Borough
during the year was 1,911.
After deducting the deaths of non-residents dying within
the Borough (311), and adding those of residents of the Borough
dying outside (241), a corrected total of 1,841 is obtained, compared
with 1,726 in the previous year. The average number of
deaths in the 10 years, 1903-12, was 1,699.
The corrected death rate for the Borough was 10.68 per
1,000 of the population, compared with 10'51 per 1,000 in 1912.
