The duration of the observations varied from ¼-an-hour
to 1½ hours each. In consequence of offences observed,
5 intimation notices were served. No legal proceedings were
instituted.
DISINFECTION.
During the year disinfection was carried out at 1,188
houses or premises in the Borough, a total of 2,771 rooms being
sprayed. The number of articles removed to the Council's
Station for disinfection, either by steam or the formalin process,
was 39,247.
