NOTIFICATIONS OTHER THAN TUBERCULOSIS
The total number of notifications received during the year,
excluding tuberculosis, was 3,906. This was an increase of 2,253
on the figure for 1956.
This increase is accounted for by an epidemic of measles which
commenced at the end of 1956, and continued until the end of
