The results of the bacteriological examinations of 63 samples
showed that there were wide variations of contamination among
some of the smaller manufacturers, although the results of
samples examined from some of the long-established London
Manufacturers showed that it is possible consistently to produce
an ice cream reasonably free from contamination.
A number of samples of food other than ice cream was submitted
for bacteriological examination. In no case was any
sample shown to be the cause of food poisoning.
