The Slaughter of Animals (Prevention of Cruelty) Regulations 1958/59
Daily slaughtering continued at the private slaughterhouse until the end of November, requiring
the attendance of 2 Inspectors on most days. At the beginning of December, regular slaughtering ceased but
the occasional slaughter of horses continued.

At the private slaughterhouse referred to slaughtering is normally carried out daily, involving the attendance of one or more public health inspectors. The following is a summary of action taken during the year:-
