Recording of Atmospheric Pollution
Deposit gauges and lead-peroxide candles are stationed at three, sites in the Borough
results from which are recorded monthly. Volumetric apparatus is also installed at the
Town Hall and the Treatment Centre, Seven Sisters Road, N. 7. The concentration of smoke
and sulphur-dioxide in the atmosphere is recorded daily. The findings are forwarded to
the Warren Springs Laboratory for collation and comparison with other Metropolitan
Boroughs, in order that ail overall picture may be obtained for the whole of London.
