From the information supplied by the Divisional Health Office, the Care
Committee, during the year, dealt with 393 interviews. 140 patients have been
helped, some on several occasions with cash or in kind, and loans of bedding or
medical appliances were made to another 52 patients ; others have been referred to
various organisations for assistance.
I am indebted to Dr. A. B. Stewart, Divisional Medical Officer, London County
Council for the 1949 figures in connection with vaccination, diphtheria and whooping
cough inoculations, and tuberculosis dispensaries.
