Deaths from the Seven Principal Zymotic Diseases.—
The total number of deaths of residents registered from
the seven principal zymotic diseases was 48 against 24 in
the previous year. The deaths of residents from these
diseases were equal to 27 per 1,000 of the total deaths of
residents registered and were at the rate of 0.3 deaths
per 1,000 persons living.

The following table shows the deaths of residents registered from the seven principal zymotic diseases which occurred in the ten years, 1931 to 1940 :—
